  • Contact Information: Telephone number. 
  • Payment Details: Payment information. 
  • Device Information: Device type (e.g., make and model). 
  • Identification Documents: A copy of your passport, driving license, or similar documentation for identification (where necessary). 
  • Interaction Details: Other information related to your interactions with us regarding the purchase of an e-SIM.

  • eSIM New Zealand’s Internal: Internal departments and services, such as our sales, marketing, or IT departments. 
  • Telecommunications Service Providers: Service providers located in the appropriate jurisdiction for which the e-SIM service was purchased. 
  • Regulatory Authorities and Law Enforcement Agencies: Where we are under a duty to disclose or share your Personal Data to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation or request, such as the Revenue Commissioners, Department of Social Protection, the Data Protection Commission, Workplace Relations Commission, or the New Zealand courts.

Retention of Your Personal Data 

In general, we will retain your Personal Data in accordance with applicable New Zealand laws, and for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you, plus a reasonable period after that. Personal Data will be stored for the duration necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected. The following factors determine our retention periods: 

  • The length of the contractual relationship, plus 7.5 years after its termination. 
  • Whether retention is necessary considering eSIM New Zealand’s legal position (e.g., statutes of limitations, litigation, or regulatory investigations). 
  • Any legal obligations eSIM New Zealand must comply with. 
  • 6 months for connection history and call recordings if any. 

Protection of Children’s Personal Data 

  • eSIM New Zealand recognizes the importance of protecting children’s Personal Data, defining a child as anyone under 18 in New Zealand or the equivalent age as specified by local law. 
  • Individuals under 18 are prohibited from using eSIM New Zealand services. We do not knowingly collect or permit third parties to collect Personal Data from those under 18. If we discover that Personal Data has been collected from a person under 18, we will promptly delete the data and terminate the associated account.
